About APAC MedTech Forum
APACMed (Asia Pacific Medical Technology Association) is a forum for regional manufacturers and suppliers of medical devices, equipment and in-vitro diagnostics.
APAC MedTech Forum is their yearly conference to collaborate with industry associations and stakeholders to improve healthcare and shape its future in the Asia-Pacific region.
A Need for Interactivity
e2m.live has been selected by the organisers as the official event app of APAC MedTech Forum for 3 years (2017, 2018, 2019) consecutively. APAC MedTech Forum 2019 was the biggest of all these events, with more than 1000 delegates across 31 countries assembled at the event.
The event was a global platform to discuss state-of-the-art medical technology. Hence, it all made sense when event organizers wanted to use technology to introduce sponsors to attendees in a fun way.
We discussed multiple ideas with the organizers and came up with a simple yet unique way to engage attendees with exhibitors.
Every Logo a QR Code!
The idea was to have an AR (Augmented Reality) scanner in place with e2m.live to scan sponsor logos that on scanning would take event attendees to the websites of sponsors. Through discount offers, promotional materials and first-choice of booth location, organizers wanted to put sponsors and exhibitors of APACMed forum 2019, at the center of attention. Web Spiders Group used AR to make promotional materials like sponsor logos more attractive to attendees.
The Issue of Privacy
Medical events like APACMed are global platforms to discuss innovations and the latest trends in medical technology. The commercial rights of state-of-the-art medical equipment and technologies are protected by patent laws. Protection of stored data and secure means of data transfer are two highly important aspects of medical events.
Organizers wanted us to help them establish a secure, event-specific social channel where attendees could safely interact and share content.
A Secure, Private Social Network
Web Spiders Group helped organizers to have a secure and interactive, event-specific social wall via e2m.live. A social wall is a giant screen that displays posts, comments, photos and videos that are tagged with event hashtags on social media platforms like Twitter or Facebook.
e2m.live enterprise event and conference app suite has been built with a focus on security and privacy of data exchanged at B2B events. Participants of APACMed interacted with the rest of other participants, including speakers, at the event’s private and secure social wall.

e2m.live is a leading secure app platform for enterprise events and conferences. Our focus is on providing the most secure, private app experience to event organizers and attendees. Organizers of APACMed Tech Forum 2019 loved the robust security features of e2m.live. Additionally, we used AR to enhance the quality of event experience.
