Making the 4th Annual Amazing Thailand Virtual Marketplace a grand success

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Los Angeles Office hosted its 4th Annual Amazing Thailand Virtual Marketplace – The America’s Chapter on 28th and 29th June 2021. The virtual event was held to provide a networking lounge to travel professionals with a robust variety of Thailand’s top tourist attractions and suppliers.

Thailand began a phased reopening for travelers, and the virtual event was a wonderful platform offering opportunities to travel professionals to connect with Thailand tourism officials and more than 40 suppliers.

The 4th Annual Amazing Thailand Virtual Marketplace – The Americas Chapter was hosted on e2m.live as the virtual platform. It was the first time that the event was going virtual on e2m.live. This year’s event was focused to emphasize young and active travelers, as well as highlighting a variety of new products and experiences related to romance and wellness.

The event and e2m.live:

The two-day event featured networking options for one-to-one interactions between key industry players, seminar sessions focusing on trends like romance and wellness, an elaborate exhibition hall, a special airlines pavilion, and several other aesthetic features.

With several advanced and updated features like informational sessions, specially themed seminars, virtual happy hours, and a selfie room, e2m made sure the virtual event met the standards of world-class virtual conferences.

d. A networking lounge offering virtual happy hours, options to engage in face-to-face video chats and live Twitter feed view

e. An exclusive selfie room where the attendees shared photos, gif, and boomerang videos.

f. A fun zone with games and rack-up points where attendees competed for a number of exciting prizes.

g. Leaderboard page to highlight the participants with the highest scores based on their participation, attendance, interaction, and other activities during the event. The most popularly attended places during the event were the Lobby, My Appointments, Attendees, Agenda, Networking, and Exhibitors among others.

h. Group chats during the live session to offer a wonderful networking opportunity for industry partners.

i. Attendee filters in the “attendees” page to refine search results according to name, company, titles, or other keywords.

j. There was an exclusive option to translate chat language in the chat section for more convenient communication between the audience and representatives.

k. Among the most surreal experiences during the two-day event was the video play notification that featured the official video of the event.

The event’s success in a nutshell:

The event got a huge response from all across the globe with 984 buyers registering for it including travel agents, media, and tour operators. There were 901 approved buyers from places like US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and others, while 83 more from countries like India, Thailand, UK, Philippines, Singapore, and more.

More than 420 attendees joined on day 1 while around 321 joined on day 2 of the event. There were 916 confirmed appointments, out of which 76.7% were successfully attended.

The 4th Annual Amazing Thailand Virtual Marketplace was a grand success enriched with exclusive features of e2m.live. As Thailand tourism prepares for a phased reopening to travelers, the virtual event conducted on e2m.live helped to restore the experience of in-person events.
